Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully before using AgentLayers.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using AgentLayers ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
AgentLayers provides a website agent-readiness scanning tool, an AI agent directory with trust scoring, and related analytics services. The Service includes both free and paid tiers with varying feature sets as described on our Pricing page.
3. User Accounts
To access certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account and keep this information up to date.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable laws or regulations; (b) scan websites without authorization to do so; (c) submit false or misleading information about AI agents; (d) attempt to manipulate trust scores or reviews; (e) interfere with the operation of the Service; (f) access data not intended for you; or (g) use automated tools to scrape or collect data from the Service beyond the provided API.
5. AI Agent Submissions
When submitting an AI agent to the directory, you represent that: (a) you have the right to list the agent; (b) the information provided is accurate and complete; (c) the agent complies with applicable laws and regulations. AgentLayers reserves the right to remove or modify any agent listing at its discretion, including revoking certification status.
6. Trust Scores & Certification
Trust Scores are computed algorithmically based on multiple factors including transparency, compliance, performance, and community reviews. Certification is granted based on meeting specific thresholds and does not constitute an endorsement or warranty. AgentLayers makes no guarantees about the accuracy or completeness of trust evaluations.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its original content, features, and functionality, is owned by AgentLayers and protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. Scan results and reports generated by the Service may be used by account holders for their own purposes, subject to fair use.
8. Payment, Subscriptions & Satisfaction Guarantee
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis through Stripe. Pay-as-you-go credit packs are charged once at purchase and the corresponding credits are valid for twelve (12) months from the purchase date. You may cancel a subscription at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice; the change applies from your next renewal and never to a credit pack already purchased. We back your first euro with two commitments that override the general position above: (a) Credit re-credit. If the first Discovery scan you run against a freshly purchased credit pack does not surface a single actionable insight, we re-credit that scan to your balance on request, without justification. This applies to the first scan of each pack and is limited to one (1) re-credit per pack to prevent abuse. A re-credited unit carries the same twelve-month validity as the rest of the pack. (b) 14-day money-back on a first subscription. Within fourteen (14) days of the start of your first paid subscription, you may request a full refund of that first payment; you keep any reports already generated. This window applies to the first subscription cycle only (not to renewals, plan changes, or credit packs) and is granted once per account. For consumers within the meaning of the French Code de la consommation, this contractual window is aligned with the fourteen-day statutory withdrawal period of Article L221-18; where you have expressly requested immediate performance of the service at checkout and acknowledged the resulting loss of the statutory right of withdrawal (Article L221-28), this 14-day money-back remains available to you as a contractual commitment notwithstanding that waiver. This guarantee does not affect the lifetime Pioneer discount, which remains locked to your account. Refunds and re-credits are processed through Stripe to the original payment method, ordinarily within fourteen (14) days of approval.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, AgentLayers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your account at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, and limitations of liability.
11. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified via email or a prominent notice on the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
